The Songs

01

Sam’s Song

Neighbor, gate guard, bible study buddy. I hope you enjoy your song, Sam!

02

Komrade, Can You Spare a Kopek?

A balalaika and Russian Trap music style are featured here. Hold on to your fur hat!

03

Samba!

Get your dancing shoes, it’s samba time!

04

Jamaican Aztec

A tribute to a friend who found himself at the end of a jungle runway with a load of something, that despite the name, did not come out of a lawn mower. Long, long ago. Don’t ask….

05

For Dad

A tribute to my Dad, my teacher, my mentor, my champion, my disciplinarian (ouch), and my friend. RIP Dad!

06

Kizhi Dreamin’

A tribute to the hardy residents of Kizhi Island, in the middle of Lake Onega, in the Republic of Karelia, Russia.

07

Flight To Macure

A tribute to my Dad’s first B-24 mission in World War II. One of their engines caught fire south of Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), and they just cleared a ridge before bailing out near the community of Macure.

08

Let’s Dance!

You guessed it, a dance song! In this case, a samba. Get those feet moving!

09

Profound Ignorance

Surely you don’t expect me to explain that title.

10

Reggie Doesn’t Live Here Anymore

Okay, truth be told, Reggie never did live here. A brain is a funny thing at 3 AM. Not ha ha funny, but, you know, funny.

11

Lemon Merengue Tortillas

Another dance tune. This one is Merengue.

12

Spoat Fishing

I’ll just slip in another wink to my Dad, because it is my website, and I can. During WWII, Dad’s nickname was Spoat, “Sport” with a Spartanburg, SC accent.

13

Steel My Heart

Just another steel drum song. This one is Reggae, and features a flute, a trumpet, and a xylophone!

14

Bombay Sapphire

Just when you thought you had heard it all, the boys in the band made friends with a couple guys from Bombay, playing a sitar and a sarod. Here we go again!

15

Kentucky Derby

A funny thing happened on the way to the next gig. The boys discovered Bluegrass, and boy do they love the banjo! Enjoy something new today!

16

Elkhorn, Kentucky Tunnel

Our Bluegrass lovers couldn’t get enough, so their buddy with the banjo was invited back. Love it!

17

Hey Mon!!

Back to the islands for a little pure Calypso sound. What are you waiting for? Press Play!

18

Beach Sounds

And another pure Calypso sound. I’ll take a rum and Coke please.

19

Play Bingo

And for the young at heart (we all know what that means), here’s one for you to listen to while waiting for your Bingo card to strike gold!

20

Cheers to You, Friend

I’ll raise a glass to you, my friend, in a toast to all of the life we’ve lived together, even if it has been just long enough to listen to this song. Cheers!!
